TERMS OF PURCHASE AND GUARANTEE

To reserve a puppy or dog, hereby referred to as “puppy”, a NON-REFUNDABLE $500.00 deposit is required. At the time of pick up, the FULL amount is due. No exceptions. For their health and safety, puppies will not be sent to a home before they are 10 to 12 weeks old. The SELLER will make every effort to assure a healthy puppy when delivered to the BUYER.

The puppy sold is considered a PET at the time of purchase, meaning prior medical support has been given. This includes up-to-date vaccinations, a veterinarian check-up, and treatment for parasites (as a safety measure). At the time of pickup, the BUYER will be presented a good bill of health from the veterinarian. All veterinary costs, beyond our coverage (see above), will be the responsibility of the buyer acquired from the date of delivery or pickup.

Our 12-month health guarantee:

Each puppy comes with a 12-month health guarantee against any life threatening defects. Defects include severe hip dysplasia, a condition that requires surgery to correct. However, a puppy must be up to 5 pounds overweight, as determined by the veterinarian, in order to be covered. Likewise, Frenchies need to be kept on a flat living surface for the first 14 months of life. For their safety, this includes no couch jumping, climbing hills, standing on hind legs, etc. Additionally, Seller covers severe kidney, spine, pancreas, heart (heart murmur over grade 4), and liver problems of life threatening nature. In the event a puppy is found with one of these life threatening defects, a complete report must be faxed to the Seller within 48 hours after the diagnosis directly from the Buyer’s veterinarian. In the case that the puppy unfortunately perishes within the aforementioned 12-month period, the Buyer will pay for a necropsy to determine the cause of death. If the cause is a congenital condition (present before or at birth), the Seller will compensate the loss with a puppy of the same value (determined by the seller). Notwithstanding, if the puppy is euthanized without prior permission from the Seller, no replacement puppy will be provided. Availability of a replacement puppy may not be immediate, as such, the Buyer might need to wait for the next available puppy from a future litter. Please note that no monetary refunds will be made, and the Seller will not cover veterinarian bills incurred in or after the date of purchase. Any puppy sold with a Limited Registration does not have the 12-month health guarantee. Likewise, the 12-month health guarantee is not valid if the puppy has been sold or transferred to a new owner. In the case that the puppy is treated for any injury during the buyer’s care, the contract becomes null and void. In order for the contract to be valid, the injury must be a direct effect of a condition listed above, and all the following requirements need to be completed: 1) a veterinarian visit within 7 days (of injury incident), and 2) all paperwork from the aforementioned vet must be faxed or mailed to the seller immediately.

Alternatively, if the Buyer keeps said puppy after diagnosis is made within the 12-month health guarantee, the Seller may refund up to half the total purchase price of the puppy (before tax) in vet bills. Only the congenital health issues defined above will be considered, and the Buyer must provide proof of spay/neuter procedure. The Seller will decide the refund amount given to the Buyer. This refund will be based on the puppy’s condition and its continual effects on the pup’s life. The Seller has the right to request further assessments of x-ray, eye, and/or heart examinations presented. Obtaining further medical opinions will be the responsibility of the buyer. Furthermore, the Seller may request any reports or x-rays to be mailed or shipped to their veterinarian.

The 12-month health guarantee does not cover the following diseases and conditions: internal or external parasites or bacteria (including Demodex, ticks, fleas, ear mites, Giardia, Coccidia, parvovirus (after the first 5 days of pickup or delivery), Cherry Eye, Entropion/Ectopian or other eye complications, loose knees, loose hips, skin allergies, mange, inguinal or umbilical hernias, elongated soft palate, small or collapse nostrils, kennel cough, bad or uneven bite or jaws, undescended testicles, or thyroid disorders. The Seller does not warrant behavioral issues or personality traits not associated with temperament.

There is no guarantee or warranty that the Buyer will be able to show or breed the puppy, regardless of the puppy’s show or breeding potential at the time of purchase. Likewise, the Seller does not guarantee the absence of Coccidiosis, or Giardia, conditions that can happen to puppies stressed by moving to their new homes. Although medicine for these conditions is provided by the Seller before the puppy leaves, the Seller is not responsible for the arisal of these conditions once the puppy exits the building or is delivered. The contract is void and null if the buyer does not provide and maintain preventative health care of any bought or replacement puppy, including vaccinations, parasites (internal and external) and heartworm preventative medicine.

Permissions terms and conditions:

Any puppy bought or replaced is not to be bred by the Buyer or Buyer’s associates without permission from the Seller. Bought puppies or replacement puppies may not be sold, leased, given, or donated by the Buyer or Buyer’s associates to any pet shop, research institution/establishment, or another owner (including but not limited to: relatives, acquaintances and/or associated), without the Seller’s consent.
